I use them here in Alaska. I load them with IMR 4064. I've shot Black Bears, MT.Goat, and Deer on Kodiak Island. All were pass troughs. I use heavier bullets for moose and Brown Bear. They have been accurate in the four rifles I own.

Shot a few Mule Deer and 1 bull elk with them years ago out of a 375X300 winchester mag years ago. Worked fine.

How well do they hold together at .375 Wby/.378 Wby velocities ??

I contacted Speer years ago concerning these bullets in a 375magnum. They advised that they were designed for deer sized game.

I've only shot paper with them and never took the time to chrono them, so...…………… No firsthand experience. I just always thought they MIGHT not be the best candidate in an A.I. or the big Bee's at 3200-3300fps. Figured if I ever decided to go deer hunting with them, I'd set them on top of some AA-5744 at modest velocity and have myself a .338 Win Mag powered sorta thing...…………….

I ran some out of a 376 at Max velocity of 2700 if I remember correctly. Killed a piebald with it. Dropped him. Exit about the size of a half dollar.

I used a few of them back in my 20s. Full loads from my 375H&H. Killed elk and deer with them as well as 2 cows on the ranch. Performance was usually good, but some were a bit erratic. I did get a few core separations and curved wound channels in elk. But I never lost an animal hit with one. I don't pick them as a top choice, but I don't solidly condemn them either.
My next try is going to be from my 9.3X57s. I made a die and punch to sizes them down to .366" and I will try them at the lower velocity of the smaller shell. I expect to get about 2350 FPS from them. I hope they will do well, but so far I have no reports for how well they will shoot or work on game from the Mausers in 9.3" Diameter as of now.

I CAN vouch for the fact that, for a light-for-caliber bullet, the 250 SGK is NUTZ for tough and penetrates like a pointy length of re-bar ahead of a sledgehammer...…...even at big velocities and at close range.

I shot a handful of Whitetails with this bullet loaded to 3200fps in a 375 RUM. Every one of them produced exit holes and they ranged in size from a half dollar to cantaloupe size holes.

I am running these at 2900+ fps with a full charge of R15 these and the Sierra 250s have been excellent for deer and hogs. The 250 I would use on elk as it matches my Barnes 250 gr. TSX load. I have carried these but no elk were suicidal when I had that combo.

My .375 Win pushes them out the end at 2084fps. When I contacted Speer about them I was informed they are designed to open with energies as low as 1200 ft-lbs. That corresponds to a tad over 1500fps.
With my .375 Win, it provides a max effective range of 295 yards (6000 feet altitude). If using 1200fpe as the benchmark, it increases the .375 Win effective range by 55-yards over the 220 Hornady FP I previously used. Since the 220g FP is no longer available, I stocked up on the 235g bullets.

I shot an impala and a warthog with them at 2900 mv from a Brno h&h. The warthog was at 20 yards broadside. It weighed about 225 and there was about a 5" diameter wound all the way through that stopped just under the skin. Impala was about 125 yards in one shoulder with a large exit behind the other one.
