I have a Benjamin Discovery, 22 Caliber, single shot PCP (Pre-Charged Pneumatic) Pellet Rifle. $190/ shipped for the rifle alone OR $250/Shipped for the Rifle and a Benjamin High Pressure Pump (lower 48). This rifle holds air fine. Only weighs 5#-6.5 ounces. With 14.3 grain pellets (standard pellet weight... there are both lighter and heavier) velocity is approx. 891 fps., and is quite accurate. What the potential new airgun buyer should know; I get approx. seventeen accurate shots out of this rifle and then pump it back up to 2,000 psi before continuing shooting. You need a source for air... either a high pressure pump (no a bicycle pump or automotive compressor will not work as this rifle holds 2,000 psi of air) OR a scuba tank with an adaptor to fit this rifle (crosman/benjamin or Pyramid air among others sells the adaptor). These are perfect for hunting birds, squirrels or other small vermin out to 50 yards or so. Some muncipalities restrict these. Just got off the phone with Crosman/Benjamin Customer service (800) 724-7486. Cameron (ext 3102) told me that You can use CO2 in all of the Discovery rifles. "Chatted" with Pyramid Air rep just to be sure, said the same thing.
