Jealous ?

I do believe that is Tongue-in-Cheek by Remmington6MM. A Senate hearing not to long ago. Made me smile

To OP. Deer 200 yards + or - a bit. Antelope 386 lasered yards.

325 yds +- with 300wm on a 4x3 mule deer buck in SW CO. Quartering away with head down. Ballistic Silvertip hit a rib and split into 3 pieces. One went straight thru the vitals, one went straight up and severed the spine and the last one traveled up the neck, exited and lodged in the back of his left antler. Deer is mounted and it’s still there. DRT. I learned a few lessons about bullet construction and shot angle that day.

310yds,7mag.I guess that's why I shoot standard hunting bullets instead of super match grade high BC bullets.Never saw the need for them since most have been killed inside 200yds anyway.

375 yards give or take with a 30-06 on a mule deer. Broke his back above the shoulders.

In some parts of the world, "Out in the Open" is all there is.

That describes much of the part of the world that I live in. A person's point of view changes when whitetail act like antelope, and the horizon is a hiding place.

1000 yards, dead calm, but it was a doe, not a buck. 160gr Accubond, right through the heart.
A more difficult shot I made was only 700 yards but in a 30mph cross wind. Wind was steady, not gusting.

With a laser range finder, 624 yards at a Coues whitetail buck

Back before range finders, it was a Coues whitetail buck around 1000 yards, maybe more. There was Divine intervention with hitting him. I am not near even close to being that good. I am not very proud of for taking that shot, although I hit and killed him with that single shot.

If you have never hunted Coues, sometimes, you can't close the distance and it's big country out here.

A herd of deer out in a 1sq-mi section of ankle-high wheat stubble doesn't lend itself to much "sneaking".

300 yds on a 8pt whitetail, using a Remington 700 CDLSF in 260 Remington... shooting the 120 gr tsx that Federal Premium use to carry, gun topped with a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50.... still wish I had that rifle..

Not a buck, but about 350 on a cow elk. 300 WSM with 180gr AB's.

Yep. Antelope are not slow either, and have the equivalent of 4x vision. When hunting the last season after they've been peppered a for a month, it's common for the herds to take off running at ranges around 2k yards.

170 yards. Where I been hunting deer the last 30 years we call anything over 75 yards a Hail Mary. LOL.

250+ on a mulie around the Bodie area. That would be my longest shot on big game. Only reason I'm sure of the yards is when we got it back to the truck, guy stopped to check things out and he lasered it out. I try to get closer.
