Just a question on a replacement stock for a 870 Wingmaster 16ga. This is my father in laws but he offered it up to my daughter as a youth gun. I am guessing its from the 1970s and no choke tubes. Will any of the Remington 870 youth stocks fit? I don't care if it is synthetic or even different wood from an Express. Reason I ask is I started to look last night and some on Midway said for 20ga. Wasn't sure if the 16ga was made on a 12 or 20 frame back then or if it even mattered as far as a shorter stock is concerned.

Thanks for the time.

Sixteen gauge 870s have always been built on the same frame as the 12s. Twenties used to be built on that same 12 gauge frame but are now built on a smaller one.
