Looking for a recommendation on a better than stock trigger for my AR, like to keep it under 100 bucks.

Depends on what you use you rifle for. I use regular mil-spec single stage triggers in my home defense/plinking M4's and two stage triggers in my AR15A4 (20" bbl. range/target toy) and Mk12 (my precision AR). I've been using Sionics Weapons System's Enhanced Mil-Spec Trigger for a while on my M4's and like it. Haven't used their Enhanced Two Stage Trigger but the quality on their other products I use(d) has been great. I use Geissels Two Stage G2S Trigger in my AR15A4 and Mk12. I really like it. A little more then you want to spend. Only two stage trigger I've used and could comment on. There's a ton of AR/M4 triggers out there. Good luck. NYH1.
Take nothing I say personal, remember....it's just the interweb!

Under $100.00 screams Rock River Varmint trigger sales prices.

Under $100.00 screams Rock River Varmint trigger sales prices. Yep. Also keep in mind Larue tactical is selling their MBT-2S for $87.00 until Christmas. Its supposed to be a damn good trigger. I've yet to try mine, I like my RRA 2 stage varmint match and Geissele SSA-E too much to switch them out.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

The LaRue I bought was way better than any untouched RR I ever used and I used a bunch of them.
For $87 it's a steal.

For $87 it's a steal. It looks like it's made very well. I may just throw it in my AR10 and see how she works.

Just keep in mind, those LaRue's are machined from tool steel. It remains to be seen how this material and manufacturing process will hold up in weapons manufacturing.
If you're patient, dla might come along and sh*t you something better.......

If you can spend a little more, you might find a deal on a Geissele SSA. I have one in one of my ARs and like it very much. I also use a Jard single-stage adjustable in one of the others, and it's a fine trigger too, but takes a bit of fiddling to get the most out of it. I can recommend either one, but they're a little pricey brand new. I think I paid $135 or so for the SSA used on Arf-dot-com.

Hard to beat Larue for 87 bucks, I've got another on the way. Not as nice as my ssa-e but its not 170 bucks either. I will advise you to stay away from the ruger 452 trigger. Mine came in an mpr and the 1st stage is gritty and inconsistent. It may break in but its taking its time.

The only trigger under $100 I would use is the Larue MBT. Just keep in mind, those LaRue's are machined from tool steel. It remains to be seen how this material and manufacturing process will hold up in weapons manufacturing. . What...?

I called lwrc this morning, my repr has the standard trigger, the newer ones have a geiselle? trigger, that national match two stage of yours may be better in my rifle, guy said if I was shooting 1.5" 10 shot groups I'm massaging that trigger pretty well for what it is.
