Looking good Paul. Do you guys use shooting stick or anything inside the blind? My son likes the sticks. I don't care to sit in enclosed blinds much, the ones I build with logs laying around seem to make a built in gun rest that works perfect most times.

Tom,

We have a "gun stand" in each. Think outboard motor stand, built from 2x4's, bulked up at the top, so you have a 4' flat surface as a rest.

Works good. You can leave your weapon on it, pointing out, so that there is less movement to get on the animal (particularly at bow range).

I see you have some tight shooting like we do in a few of the spots. The buck I shot last year was at 25-30 I'd say. Maaaaybe 40 by the time I actually shot?

Jack has a stand that can run out to 100 in the right situation. The one we have set up for Kennedy we could probably get out to 80. We have one that a guy could reach out to 175 if the deer stopped in the right spot. But most are 10-50 yards.

Wow! Weez is all grown up. Mrs. ND looks lovely as always as does the beautiful bride. Heck, even the old man is looking quite dapper in a suit and tie. Clip on? Well done all.

So, inquiring minds must know...is the '66 a wedding gift?

well no, it's actually a loaner. This was my car for many years, Pam and I drove away in that car from our wedding in 1992. Taylor come home from the hospital in that car after being born, as did the 2 boys when they were born.

Still, pretty cool to have come full circle with that car. She's a beaut! Ahh...both the car and the bride!

And what song did dad dance to?

billy joel "just the way you are"

I'm not necessarily a billy joel fan. But the lyrics had the right message.

Same here !

I figure we've got 10" here & going to keep going all day today !

I'll snap a parking lot pic at the shop & post. Just finished digging into the front & rear doors.

I'll leave the shop door for the boys.

At least my landlord tried to plough !

Oh wow. You boys can keep that. I do imagine you'll have some busted poles but I hope not. That happened to Jack and I last year. We left the blind in the woods when we had to get home to attend to mom and sick baby last year. We went back up a few weeks later and the blind was smashed into a pile. JUNK. Which reminds me...we need to go get a new blind. laugh
