For my Texas friends. How long before your feeder goes off do you get in your blind?

I use fixed feeders. Usually in stand about 30 minutes before feeders go off. But I also use a tail gate feeder on the Jeep. Hasbeen

It seems like I see more deer when I scatter corn on the roads than at the feeders. I went for a few years south of Freer to Oceaneerings company lease. The guides put you up in stand, scatter corn with truck, before guide could get parked and back to stand the Sendero’s would be over run with deer. They had monster bucks on that place, but I never got lucky enough to kill one. They were shooting deer 5 yrs and older. I had some fabulous 3and 4 year old deer come out, but only cull shooters that I had the green light to take. It was a really cool place, but they sold it when the bottom fell out a few years ago.

Why not learn to hunt deer instaed of baiting them to you. If you go look for them you may just find one. I dont guess you guys do spot and stalk.

Actually I do lots of spot/ stock and rattling during the course of the season. I passed on lots of bucks last year and only took two doe for meat. If you noticed this thread was dedicated to those who hunt in Texas and the reason was to keep smartasses like you from chiming in.
