Because of disc/neck issues this year, I will have to shoot my lower recoil rifles and I have a trilogy of them ready to go 1. Marlin XL7 in 25/06 with a Bushnell Custom Gold 3-10x44 shooting 120 gr. CLs 2. Ruger 77, tang safety, 250 Savage Leupold M8-4x shooting Hornady Custom 100 gr. ILs 3. Ruger 77, tang safety, 257 Roberts, Nikon Monarch 3.5-10 Norma +P 100 gr. SP
Which one I will use the most depends on how soon during the season the 1st domino falls, provided it falls lol!

A new Fieldcraft 6.5 CM needs some field time so will likely will get the most use. Also have an itch to hunt a weapons restricted area close to home so a Lyman GPR 54 and/or hand gun will hopefully get some use.

TIM That is one of my FAV stocks. Jerry Thanks, best handling rifle I've ever owned. Liked the McMillan so much I ordered 2 more for .270's I had done for my boys(sooner or later they will get big enough to use them).

For my elk and Coues whitetail hunts this fall, this Winchester M70 Super Grade chambered in 6.5 WSM will be used. The rifle currently has a Bushnell LRHS scope on it. The 125 gr Badlands Bulldozer bullets at about 3300fps are giving good groups.

I wondered ‘why’ you’d use a ‘Flinter’ most........ till I saw your name. ‘Yoder’. Jerry Good Luck Haha !! Not whay you're thinkin'...…….. My weapon of choice 99% of the time is my bow. But a feller's gotta pack the freezer up with some mule meat. I get little to no rush or jollies outta whacking a whitetail with a centerfire. But I loves me some rock, steel and smoke !!! Baldies beware !!!!

Thank ye, sir !!! Balances better than my Belgian Superposed Lightning. Shoots .50 cal bugholes to any sane woods whitetail scenario. I have taken quite a shining to it.

Will put my mossberg Patriot 6.5 creed in my hand tomorrow night , will not be out of an arms length from me from then till the following Monday. She ain’t pretty, or expensive but it rings the 8” gong at 500 yards with boring regularity. It’s gonna get beat up either riding my shoulder, my pack or in my hands in the mountains of Idaho, no beautiful wood to make me regret it. It’s wearing a 6x Swfa, and 2 coats of duracoat on the steel.
To say I’m excited is an understatement.

First team rifle will be the usual: .280AI with the 120 grain Nosler BT. When deer have to die its the one I reach for the most. I hope to get some field time for my Tikka .243 with 95 grain Nosler BT and My 6 BR. Bullet/load TBD. Also, if I get cleared from my surgery to shoot in time I hope get my tang safety Ruger 7mm Rem Mag. up and running. The tang safety 77 .25/06 I traded for this morning too if I get time to get it up and going. So many rifles, so little time.

Hi All This year, for our early muzzleloader antlerless its my Black Diamond XR 50 cal ( blued/ walnut with aperture sight) and for bear and deer my ( very) recently acquired 1987 production Remington Model 7600 .30-06. Will probably use her open sighted this year. Can't decide whether I want to scope her or get a good aperture sight. The factory opens are quite good and the rifle is superbly accurate. This will be my first year hunting with a .30-06. This 7600 is on almost new condition and has a very nice trigger. Not bolt action nice, but very controllable. I anticipate no difficulties should something needing to be shot walks into range...
Keepin my back green and my powder dry. The LORD bless and keep you
