Your parent's car you can recall as the first for you?
For me, I'd guess a 49 Chevy. No way to know for sure at this time.
Perhaps some have a better memory.

Early 60's Impala sedan or a Ford(?) wagon in maroon.
Both used, of course.

Yellow Ford 1956 station wagon.
We lived in Western Kentucky,....had relatives in Memphis.
I recall cold winter mornings when my folks would get us up,...still dark outside,....I was a kid,..maybe 4-5 years old. I'd be standing there half awake while my mom buttoned me into my "car coat" (who remembers car coats?)
My dad would fold the back seat down,...pull one of the mattresses off of our beds and lay it out in the back of that old '56 Ford.
Us kids would flop out on it and go back to sleep.
About the time we were waking up, we'd be in Memphis.

The parents' '51 Chevy - ugly pale green.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

A sky blue 61 Ford Falcon. I nearly wrecked it when I was 2. My older sister's screaming drew the attention of a stranger and he reached in through the window and slammed it into park.
Pretty sure that's the day my mother decided I was the devil's spawn.

49 or so Nash. Dad had to teach mom how to use a clutch. Somehow the front bumper got mangled, so my dad, uncle, and brother put a bumper off a 41 Cadillac limo on it. What I remember is them driving it against the side of the garage so uncle could get a bolt in. He said he didn't want to be around when someone takes it back apart. I was around 4 or 5. Very vague memories of a 49 Cadillac, a Dodge salesmans coupe, and a 53 Olds 88. My own first car was a 53 Ford wagon with a straight 6.
Stepgrandpa Max had one of those Studebaker pickups, drove it through a brick wall when he was drunk. Was hard on the wall and the truck.
Said 41 Cadillac sat out back for several years, neighbor girl and I had some interesting explorations sitting in it.

Red '53 Ford F-100 step side with a V-8 and 3 on the tree. Dad was kinda popular in the neighborhood as he had the only pickup truck around.
Always drink upstream from the herd...cowdoc...

The vehicle I learned to drive was a '64 Chevy step side pickup,.....6 cylinder, 3 on the tree. It was our only vehicle.
My old man was pretty rough on us,....but he never said nothing about how I would get in it and take off down the field,....cutting do-nuts and this and that.
I never appreciated him for letting me treat the family's only means of transportation like that. I was too young to.
I guess he figured that it was all a part of becoming a man in rural western Kentucky,...and he just looked the other way.
I beat the hell out of that old pickup,...but I never killed it.
