I have a beautiful custom .416 Ruger for sale. The rifle was built on a 1909 Argentine Mauser action which I had re-heat treated in Salt Lake City. The metal work was done by several custom makers, primarily by the late Jules LaBantchni and Danny Pedersen. Initially, it was chambered for the .338 WinMag cartridge. When I got it, I already had three rifles chambered for that cartridge, so I asked Danny Pedersen to rebore it for the then brand new .416 Ruger. After Danny performed his magic, I sent the barreled action, along with a stick of really nice English walnut, to Gary Goudy for restocking. As it turned out, the blank had a couple minor surface blemishes which Gary filled for me. It was much too nice a blank to toss. The rifle has Blackburn bottom metal, a custom quarter-rib with folding leafs that have not yet been filed, Ramp front sight base, barrel band front sling swivel base, Leupold VX-7 1.5-6x24mm scope in Talley mounts, three-position Model 70 type safety, red Pachmayr "Old English" pad and steel grip cap. It was finished off by a cold rust satin blue job. It is an excellent buy for the $4900 that I'm asking for it. shipped to your FFL.
As I just turned 80 in August, my African /Alaskan hunting days are behind me so I'm thinning the herd.
