Did some swapping of scopes and have a rifle/scope combo that I might upgrade.
The rifle is a Browning A-Bolt Micro .243 and the scope I'm considering mounting is a Bushnell Elite 4200 3x9x40.
Would you consider selling the Bushnell and mounting up one of the Leupold VX-3i's that seem to be reasonably priced now?

No expert here, but in my perusing of various posts over time, I'm not sure that what you propose would be much of an upgrade. I own a couple 4200's and they have nice glass to my eyes and have a good reputation for tracking and durability.
Give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above. Don't fence me in.

I have both scopes and they seem about equal to to me. If you just want to try something different, sure, why not.

I agree with the others, I don't see the Leupold as any kind of upgrade...unless, of course, you were looking at a different power range or reticle. Glass wise, they are both pretty close to one another.

Ditto, I have several Leupolds and one 4200. Unless you are looking for something different, a change would be hard to justify.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor
