I remember Bobby Richardson catching his line drive with runners on 2nd and 3rd to end game 7 of the 1962 series.

Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.
Happily Trapped In the Past (Thanks, Joe)
Not only a less than minimally educated person, but stupid and out of touch as well.

Mobile Alabama's own. Heard he never got cheated on a swing and led the NL in fear.
Bangflop! another skinning job due to .260 and proper shot placement.

I was lucky enough to go see the Giants a few times in the early 70's.
Mays, Perry, Bonds, McCovey, Kingman, Spier, Marichal...
RIP Willie, RIP...

I, too, used to go to the games as a kid in the early 60's: Mays, McCovey, Marichal, Cepeda. A great team. I remember their arch enemy, the Dodgers, who had Drysdale, Koufax, and Maury Wills. They played some epic games against each other.
I also remember how amazed I was to find out that Willie Mays had signed a contract for the stupendous sum of $100,000 per year.
Man, have times changed.

Yes. I remember Joe Namath making $400,000 per year at one point when he was near his peak. Now that is one game for some of the pros, isn't it? Now he is selling stuff on TV.
