I posted an ad in the classified looking for a pair or 2 of Butler Creek rubber grips for a Ruger Redhawk.
I thought I might have a better chance of finding a pair on this forum.
Or if anyone knows of a grip similar to the Butler Creek.
I tried pachmayr presentation grips, a bit big for my hands. And tried the pachmayr decelerator, too thin........
What works for you on the Redhawks?
You're on the right track. I tried several grips for shooting 300+ grain hot loads from a 5 1/2" .44 Redhawk and found nothing that worked as well as the Butler Creek grips you mentioned. Additionally, they still allowed comfortable and accurate double action shooting, at least from my hands.
I don't have any on hand, but Ebay is an excellent source for old discontinued grips. Good luck and if I see a set, I'll PM you.
