Hornady makes it and Graf & Sons has it in stock but I see that Midway is out of it.
Recently got 100 Hornady cases for a Ruger 1A .250 Savage and the neck wall concentricity isn't great, 25 out of 100 vary .002" in thickness although the other 75 are fine. Got two more boxes, 100 cases, as backups but haven't checked them. Remington still shows they make it but I bought a couple hundred of those cases 6-7 years ago for a .250 AI project and it was very soft, pockets expanded badly after only 3-4 firings of normal pressure loads.
My accuracy needs are served just fine by the Hornady brass but if you wanted really good quality it might be worthwhile to go ahead and get some Lapua or similar quality .22-250 brass and neck up. After tossing the soft Remington stuff I ended up getting some Winchester .22-250 brass in the older blue/white bags and fireformed it which worked great.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I bought some Hornady brass and loaded up some amo with H414 and Sierra 100 gr flat base bullets and I took 2 muley does back in Wyoming with my 99. This one was a bit over 200 yards. Took out the heart.

I'm sure they are, because it would cost a lot to shoot them much if you didn't. I've seen brass for the 250Sav. for sale several places. The companies don't produce as much brass in the less popular calibers, and may only run a production of them every other year or less. depending on demand. Look around, it's out there.

Sycamore, where are you in AZ? I have a box of Winchester factory ammo. Don't know where it came from because I've lusted after but never owned a .250 Savage. I'm coming to Cave Creek for T'Day and if you're anywhere near, it's yours.

Funny you say that Rocky. I've a number of guns for sale and a very select few that are not. One keeper is a .250 Savage. Imagine that.... Top target was shot with 85 grain BT's and the lower with 100 grain NPT, both at 100 yards and back to back.
I am..........disturbed.

I think I may have a package of Winchester brass. I’ll check and see. It’s yours if I can find it.

I have a line on some at Brunos in Phx. Remington. I have heard the latest (current) batch is a bit better than a few years ago. Many thanks for the kind offers.

Sycamore I think that dennisinaz may be looking for it too. I'll let him know that he needs to give Lester or son a phone call.

It's pretty much a hit and run visit for T-Day, Jeff. And you don't owe me a thing.

I do for my Shilen-barreled Remington Seven.
I have an old lot of Winchester brass that's probably getting long in the tooth with that tapered case design, but then again I only neck size, fire-form in one rifle. and my loads aren't very stout.
Earlier this summer, I came across about eighty once-fired 22-250 Winchester cases (they looked pretty modern.) I necked them all up with some Imperial Sizing Wax without an issue. They chambered fine. I am just wondering if the loads will shoot the same. I may need to load some up and bust out the chrony one of these days.

I load for two 250 rifles, 1953 M99R and an early Ruger Tang Safety M77. I've got quite a bit of Win. brass, but it's been used in both rifles. The switching back and forth made me full length resize it with the resultant occasional head seperations in the Savage. Finally got some Hornady brass a couple weeks ago that will be used only in the Ruger. It's 6 grains lighter than the Win so I may need to do some load adjustment. So far it's working great at the target board.

I've mentioned before that I have unheadstamped Federal 250 Savage brass. I could spare a little for the cost of postage.
