What holsters are you guys using for the Contender? I have a scoped 10" G1 and I have ordered a synthetic shoulder holster for it. But I would prefer a nice leather holster. It looks like there are many different variations and it would be nice to know which ones work and which ones don't.

I have an old Contender holster for a 14". It is a chest carry. Love it. But this reminds me I need to give it some Obenauf's to drink. It has been a while. The 14" 45-70 barrel likes this carry. Better than a 45 Colt. Rusty.

Contender holsters? You jest. Is that a red dot sight on that Contender holding that poor little piggy down?

It is. Millett SP-1. I'm a cheap bastid. Works on all sizes. The gun, not holsters.

Contender options are many. As a teen, I rabbit hunted with the .410 Contender, using this holster. I didn't like the corners on the original factory grip, made my own. The "push/pull" grip is interesting. The .410 carbine set up is handy with a sling. DF

How's it holding up under the .22LR recoil? Those CB shorts are brutal! Expect to do a full rebuild somewhere around 2320, give or take a few years.

I carry my 10" Contender in a Bianchi, Ranger series shoulder holster. I also have one for my Black Hawk Ruger. I really like the holster set up and as far as I am concerned its the only way to carry a large pistol.
