Are there any feed issues with these magazines? Thinking of picking one up just don’t want a mag headache and regret the purchase unless I go AI type mags.

I just bought a fast twist from Whittaker’s and my mag won’t feed worth a damn. I emailed Ruger about two weeks ago and received a reply that I would be contacted within 3 days. Nothing yet. I understand it’s fall season and I bet they’re busy but......

I’ve read all the info i can find online but really hoping Ruger will make it right.

Guys have had good luck wrapping them with tape so they squeeze a little tighter when inserted. Was a thread recently. Good luck.

Yep. Put tape shimms on the shoulder area of the mag. It’s redneck engineering at its finest but made mine 100% reliable.

How many will your mag feed using the tape trick you posted?

After trying two different mags in my fast twist using 75 elds and having nothing but trouble. I switched to the 450 bushmaster magazine which is a 3 round single stack.. It now feeds 100%

I have several Americans and the mags kinda suck on all of them. I got in the habit of just running 3 rounds in all of them. Can’t say I ever tried 4 in my 22-250, but three works great. I swap the tape out if it looks like it’s starting to wear.

Just take them apart and add some spring tension. Easy fix

Unfortunately, those little plastic tabs are good for about 1 bend or less....

Just got 3 of the fast-twist 22-250's from Whittaker's and all the mags feed poorly.

I'll be trying all the tricks it seems?

Should only need to disassemble once. Then add a dot of super glue gel on the tab spots. Voila!

If you think whatever fix you do is foolproof you will be fooled .They are not reliable if you really want to count on them to function when the animal you have hunted for DAYS is before you .I sold 2 of them for that reason alone though they were very accurate .A great rifle with a serious flaw !

Adding spring tension didn't cure the few that I've played with. It improved things a tiny bit, but certainly not a permanent cure.

And there is the real fix. Ruger is actually coming out with a new mag in the near future. I’ve been told they have to run through remaining inventory first - which in my opinion is a huge mistake. I have no idea when it will happen, but it’s coming.

The current rotary mag with the tapered 22-250 case just plain sucks. Poor design, but still a solid rifle for the money. The fix is in the works.

I honestly don’t know. I hope so, but don’t have anymore information or a timeline.
