I braved monsoon-like rain to get into the poll. Glad I did so I could vote my usual straight Democrat ticket.

Hahaha. Gotcha!

The idiots in charge closed a lot of small polling places (mine having been only 1/4 mile from my house) and consolidated everything into one big poll at the local high school 6 miles away. What a clusterf*ck- crowds of people milling around not knowing where their district poll was with only one guy with a clip board trying to sort things out. I scored what I thought was a dandy parking spot right close to the entrance and when I came out was harassed by Security for parking in the school admin reserved spaces. He never so much as looked at the old lady hobbling with a walker up to the entrance- all stairsteps with no handicapped accommodation, if you can believe that- but he did when I ignored him and went to the lady's rescue. Bastid.

Haven't missed an election since my first one in '72. Not one.

I got to vote early, stopped at the municipal building to pay my sewer bill & they were set up in the lobby taking early votes... sewer bills & politics... I guess they must go well together....

Same thing last election, maybe they will just start including a ballot form in with the sewer bill.

..yea, and maybe if the ballots were printed on rolls we could each get one and have our polling stations right at home, just drop in your ballot and pull the lever! Feels like I'd have the same effect either way with all the other paper (money) being thrown at it these days.

I was # 6 at my local polling station this AM, (...I usually try to avoid being #2..), but voting is still our precious civil responsibility.

Yes it is and I'd rather live in a country that allows us to do so than one that doesn't.

Got er done earlier. Was the most crowded I've ever seen. My cousin said his poll was real crowded too. Maybe we have them scared. We are just way outnumbered in Baltimore and the counties around D.C.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.
