My son-in-law arrowed this dandy buck on public land within Mifflin County. The shot was taken at about 15 yards from his tree stand. He hunts with a Bear compound bow that he bought second hand for a fair price and its a keeper! Carbon shaft and Thunderhead broad head did the job. Not everyone can afford top of the line gear but this Bear bow shoots straight. Sherwood .

That is where I hunt the most, and for this area that is a dandy. Rothrock and Bald Eagle land gives us a 100s of thousands of acres to hunt

The effort he put in was rewarded. Just getting out is special. Having a hunt like that come together takes it to another level.
I used to only shoot shotguns and rimfires, then I made the mistake of getting a subscription to handloader.......

Congrats to your SIL Sherwood. Nice buck, especially for public land. Do you get up there to hunt with him?
