Thanks John. I look forward to seeing more entries in that event.

The Rules:
Targets must be shot from 100 yards.
20 rounds will be scored, flyers included.
The rifle can be shot from any position as long as the shooter is supporting the rifle. Bipods, slings, and rear bags are ok to use. NO bench rest, lead sleds, or machine rest may be used.
All 20 rounds must be fired on the same day, from the same rifle.
Iron Sights will fire two 10 shot groups at the reduced 600 yard NRA targets.
Scoped rifles will fire two 10 shot groups at the target listed below (different targets are ok, just make sure both groups are on the same piece of paper)

Seems self contradictory.

Looks to me like a colossal waste of time and bullets, especially this time of year when muley bucks, aoudad culls, whitetails, and hogs get most of my attention.

It’s been nitpicked pretty thoroughly already but the intent was no solid machine rests taking the shooter out of the equation. Other than that nobody really cares too much what’s used just shoot

She never made it past the bedroom door, what was she aiming for...?

It's a colossal amount of fun, for some.

I’ve never viewed an exercise in learning what my rifles and ammo are truly capable of as a waste of time. The whole thing cost me 20 rounds and maybe 45 minutes of my life. Resources well spent in my estimate.

Nothing personal, but I figured out what my rifles/loads will do several months ago. It's time to hunt and kill something.

I concur! I don’t shoot nearly enough.....so, this is a good excuse! Hunting season has been, pretty much “a bust”.....maybe this will help some! memtb

Man, i always like your positive attitude. Too bad John couldnt convince his boys, here, to shoot this event. As of right now, theres still only 6 shooters here that produced 1 moa targets. I just bought a used 223 rem and used scope the other day, put them together and fired off some ammo i already had loaded up and shot a .8 moa avg. Hell, maybe the challenge is too easy. Guys dont want to waste their time?

After the new yr I'm going to put something together for this. Will be 223/5.56 probably in a RAR shooting 73gr Eld-m or 75gr hornady bthp.
