Texas A&M just got through beating LSU in a record 7 ovetimes. They matched LSU's last touchdown. LSU failed on the 2-point conversion...A&M didn't. Texas A&M 74 LSU 72.

Whoooop!

I lasted through 5 OT's and went to bed. What a great victory!

From the very beginning, I didn’t have the “warm fuzzies”, about LSU winning. Pretty “bummed-out”! Pretty much ruined a good season for LSU!

It’s a damn big challenge to beat a good team and the officiating! memtb

That’s about when I fell asleep on the couch. Even with my Aggie wife shaking the whole house with her jumping and yelling.

Oh no way. The officiating crew has no favorites (or so ive mistakenly been told a hundred times before ;)).

I will have to watch the full replay now.

There were three times it looked like the game was over and LSU had won. First was an interception with a minute left. Whoops, the quarterback dropped the ball and his knee brushed the ground while he was picking it up. Do over.
Then the clock ran out. Whoops, there was maybe a second left. Do over.
Finally, in the first overtime an A&M receiver caught the ball, took 2 to 3 steps in possession and fumbled. LSU recovered. Whoops, ruled incomplete. Do over.

You'd think LSU might have gotten one of those calls, but no.

LSU got robbed on that one.

I could not get the game on our satellite provider, as we do not get the SEC network. Not a whole lot of detail in either of the newspaper accounts I read this morning, but I ran across this on Facebook today:

You failed to mention the 2 or 3 illegal motion ( someone moving on the offense), and “not” called! memtb

I think that anyone who follows a team on a regular basis can remember a number of times when their team came out on the short end of a critical call or calls. For my part, I feel that the officials attempt to do a very fair and impartial job. Given that, there are some who are less competent than others. Also, I once read a very well-written book (can't remember the name) that discussed how people in general (including officials) have in the subconscious a conception of how events should play out. Without our intending it to be so, this affects how we perceive events. In the case of officials, this often appears to be intentional bias.

Hard to beat the refs.

They were nit picking LSU to the max. To me, it was pretty obvious, glad others saw it too.

It was a heck of a game. A battle to the end.

Jimbo Fisher used to be at LSU. Even though he didn't do so well at FL, I always liked him.

Coach O was in rare form...
