I think it's far too high.

In my area, probably about $850 to actually move it. YMMV

Not a featherweight or .308, but here was a recent ss Model 70.

I paid $600 for this (minus the scope) about 8 years ago. Action is smooth as butter and accurate as hell. It’s worth as much as you are willing to pay.

starting is too high. If I wanted one I would still not give over $800

It’s a rare .308 with flour de lis checkering so there’s that.

I don’t see the premium. You can’t get a stainless lightweight 308? I love the model 70 FWs though.

not a fleur de lis any where on that gun. that is called ribbon and field pattern.
seller is trying to squeeze every cent out of it. New Haven and crf are a plus, but 308 not so much.
i'd say 850.00 tops

As a model 70 enthusiast ( not an expert) , 850.00 is as high as I would go.

I would not trust anyone who calls the 308 "rare".

If you pay that money for that rifle you had better like because IMHO I think you are going to own it for awhile before you can break even
on a resale assuming you get it for the starting bid plus the shipping.

Well before reading all this, I offered the gentleman $850 trying not feel like I was low balling the guy. He pretty much laughed at me saying he sold his last ss 308 for $1350.00. It was one I wanted, but I'll settle for the blued 308 I bought for $500.00

A "rare" 308?
