Right now we only own one Remington - and its actually my 11 year old sons rifle, but both he and I are super proud of it. I wanted to build him his first rifle that had more sentimental value than a $400 off the shelf gun. This fits the bill just right..
Rem 700 SA (off of a Package ADL rifle)
Shilen #2 finished at 22.5", 6.5 creed, very shallow flutes
B&C Mountain Stock, LOP cut to 13", pachmayer pad
Timney Trigger set at 2.5 pounds
Bolt fluted and Lightened
Talleys and a 3.5-10x40 vx3i BDC
Custom Engraving with caliber and his name on the barrel
When he gets older, we will swap out he stock for a full size mcmillan edge. Complete package weighs right at 7 pounds. Im sure he will collect more rifles as he gets older and grows up, but I hope he never parts with this one...
