I'm considering getting the above mentioned rifle, but have some questions first.
I know the twist is a little slow, but will it stabilize the 180gr monos? How about magazine length, any concerns there? not planning on running anything heavier than 180's.

If I remember right tikka uses 1 in 11 twist for the 300 WSM that will handle any thing up to 200 grains and maybe even more as far as mag length I can't say.

It will handle it just fine. If you are going to reload though, the mag length will not allow you to seat the bullet out too far. I have one I got got Christmas last year, I am putting a new Leupold VXi-3 on it when I get home next month.

I've had no issues with the 180 TTSX staying sub MOA out to 500 on my T3

I traded into one a few years ago. Not a huge short mag fan in general, but gave it a try. So so accuracy with 180s. The bullet of choice for me anyway. Kicked like two sonsabitches. Flipped it for another T3. Can't remember what it was. I know the 300 WSM is one of the more popular T3s . Mine just didn't set my world on fire. I'm tempted to try another.

Know a guy that has a T3 338. He's never commented on the recoil. Probably can't remember it!
