I have Leopold 1x4 shotgun scope that am sure it junk. Do you all send it in to the manufacturer in Oregon ? How much time does it take and if there is nothing wrong with it, do I owe them money? DO I pay shipping?

You pay shipping to them. They ship it back. Instructions are on the Leupold website in the service section. It costs You nothing but the shipping to them, even if there is nothing wrong with it.

Normally it is a pretty smooth transaction sending something back to Leupold. I have sent two back with no problems encountered. Returned on a timely basis with explanation of work performed.

Thanks, Chainsaw! I remember you asking about 1x4 Leopolds a few yrs ago . I am sure this one is junk. It is not an old one but has lived a hard life on a 30-06 with heavy bear loads, then went to a 45-70 Gov. with a light barrel and recently my muzzleloader that I use with 340 gr. bullets. If it's not the scope, then the barrel is junk and maybe even dangerous. I can't get a 6" group @ 25 yds with this gun scope combo. I will put it back on a different gun to see if it is there scope for sure.

The scope now is all fuzzy. How often have you had that happen to a Leopold? I am surprised of this , it is only about 8 yrs old and used very little.

Funny, this scope went through some tuff stuff. During gun season, I broke through some ice in the marsh. Darn near ass over tea kettle too . The whole gun was in 6" of water for about 10 seconds, no less. I thought, no way will it hurt the scope. The next week , I hunted in a really wet snow storm. It snowed 3 " in 1 hr. I looked today and it had water drops in it. It shot ok but foggy. I am disappointed in Leopold though. It is a 11 so it should deb good quality. I dont think it should have footed up , do you ?
