Sierra has announced the discontinuation of several bullets. I would highly recommend if the following are bullets of your choice that you order them right away. As soon as they are gone from the manufacturer they are gone. If we do not have them in stock right now give us a call and we'll contact Sierra to see if we can still get some for you: All moly bullets are being discontinued. In addition, the below bullets are also being discontinued. .224 50 gr SMP, 55 gr SMP .243 90 gr FMJBT .257 75 gr HP, 100 gr SPT, 117 gr SPT, 120 gr HPBT .264 85 gr HP .277 90 gr HP, 110 gr SPT .284 130 gr HPBT Match .308 110 FMJ, 135 gr HPBT Match, 180 gr SPT, 180 gr HPBT Match, 240 gr HPBT Match .357 110 gr JHP Blitz, 170 gr FMJ Match .400 135 gr JHP .4295 220 gr FPJ Match .4515 185 gr FPJ Match In addition, many of their pistol bullets are having a price increase in excess of 20%. I highly encourage you go get your Sierra now before the price goes up.

Do you have an ETA on N570? The big question here also. I have some. It’s a very coarse stick that won’t flow thru my Uniflow. I drop a charge in a scale pan with the drop tube removed, then weigh. QL shows good performance. Have read it’s hard on barrel throats, don’t know that for a fact. DF

I don’t expect it to meter in a powder thrower. I need find an alternative to RE33 in my 28N. 86.3 gr. of RE33 shoots lights out, but develops a carbon ring from hell in <30 rounds. As it stands, this is the hardest cleaning rifle I’ve ever had by a multiple of 3+.
I intend to try N565 too. I’ve held off ordering hoping I could get them both on the same hazmat fee.
DF, what are you using N570 in?

DF, what are you using N570 in? 26 Nos but find that 869 and 872 are the performance champs. 570 is a bit faster burning but high energy. QL show it as one of the fastest. Think I’m gonna stick with 869. 570 shows well on QL in the 7RM, but think RL-26 may be the best choice for that one. DF

Sierra is discontinuing 4 bullets weights in .257 with Hornady discontinuing their 100 gr spire point along with the tough 120 gr hollow point 3 years ago, the quarter bore is losing market share to the new 6.5 shooters.

All I can say is WOW!, I can't believe they are discontinuing the .257 100 & 117gr Pro Hunter. These are two of the best and most accurate deer killers out there for the 25.06. What a shame.

Seems to work for me. Don't get much fouling and carb build up. Carb-Out is a good one, made by same people who make Patch-Out, which is also a favorite. DF

I applied DBC as soon as it arrived from Ryan. :-)
My experience with RE33 in a 28N isn’t unique. I’ll check out Carb-Out.

That 85 grain HP is a coyote smasher in my Grendel. I guess I know what I’ll be spending my Christmas money on. Bummer

Don't have a .264 and have other powders for the rounds I do load for. How many rounds before the carbon ring starts forming? I have a Hawkeye borescope which is real asset in such cases. DF

I’m waiting on N570 to find out. Grin.
According to the builder, who’s built a few of these, the problem is unique to RE33.
I’m running a 195gr. EOL 3064f/s on 86.3gr RE33, COAL=3.70”.

Check out this link. RL-33 was highly regarded in the .264 by Rick. May want to send him a PM, asking if he's seen this. www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/12498590His last post was in Feb, 2018, so don't know if he's still an active Fire contributor. He's done a lot of work with the .264. DF
