Solidifying my standing as a complete sap, I always feel sad for unused Christmas trees. (I have many faults similar to this.)
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

I'v e gotten free pickup loads after Christmas from the local college after Christmas us,and used as snow fence when I lived in central Wisconsin. Worked fair until a blizzard came through and blew them all over hell. I now live in western NC and don't face the same problem.

A few years ago, a friend (wife works at HD) and I, got a truck and trailer load of Christmas trees, from HD, for free. We weighted them with scrap iron and sunk them in the lake. Caught quite a few messes of white perch, around those trees.

A few years ago, a friend (wife works at HD) and I, got a truck and trailer load of Christmas trees, from HD, for free. We weighted them with scrap iron and sunk them in the lake. Caught quite a few messes of white perch, around those trees. Randy, now that you've moved, what lake/lakes are you planning on fishing?

Worked with a russian orthodox they celebrate Christmas Jan 7, they shop for trees and gifts starting December 26th.

I have picked up many of the free trees after Christmas. I tie a few bricks to them and drop them in the local lake. I have won a few bass tournaments off them the next spring.
A gun in the hand is worth more than the entire police force on the phone.
