I have a Vortex Viper HS LR 4-16x50 on my Montana brand rifle which is chambered in 7mm stw. On another gun I have a Swarovski Z5 4.5-18x44 P with the BRH. I was thinking about moving the Swarovski over to the STW for a fall 2019 elk hunt I have booked but wanted to ask some unbiased experts on the forum if they’d maybe stick with the Vortex. I bought the Swarovski on sale for about $900 and the vortex was around $600. They’re both really good rifle scopes. Thanks in advance.

Get the cheaper scope if you feel it’s as good.

I’d get a Tasco, Sig or a Meopta only if you were nice this year.

Since you already own both scopes in question, I'd say go with the one you like the best. Swapping a scope around is easy and gives you reasons to go shoot, as you have to sight the scope in for the gun you just moved it to.
