With the 10mm gaining popularity like it has, I wouldn't be surprised in the least.
With their LEO pricing, I will own one if they do.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Run a SIG SAUER P220R5 & you will
Barter your S&W 3rd gens away. Relegate your Gluck/Tupperware guns to the cupboard where they belong. De-mil any 1911 variations to get them out of circulation.
A S&W PC 945(ish) 10mm would be awesome ...but the Perf Ctr would not pull a slide to cut a 10mm face to it & I offered $1500 for starters...no go.twice! The S&W PC made a 945-40

If they do I’d like to see a long slide core to give us another double stack ready optic option to compete with the g40.
As far as the sig? Might as well just buy a 1911 if you’re going to carry less rounds than the double stack options

I have a Fusion Firearms 6" Long slide in 10mm, but it is a single stack. It is a nice shooter though.

Why not just buy an M&P 45 and run Federal HST 230gr +P?

Because 10 mm 220's @ 1200 fps beat .45 ACP 230's @ 950 fps? And with more magazine capacity.

I carry an M&P 9mm in town and a Glock G20 when grizzlies might be an issue.
I would love to see S&W bring a 15 round 10mm M&P with a thumb safety to the market.

Exactly.....everyone seems to take a schittt on the thumb safety. I'm a fan, as long as it's ambi. The Springfield XDm in 5.25" with a Powder River trigger will probably find it's way to me if SHOT show reveals nothing exciting. The whole goal is a 10mm with light rail. And I've handled the G20 and owned a G40. Just too big and clunky for my hands

For SD, TS not wanted. In a 10, it would not be a concern.

One of the nice things about the M&P is that you can get it with or without a thumb safety. I choose mine without, but if it suits someone else then rock on.
