I hope somebody pipes up. I have a can of it gathering dust, never tried it in anything.

This subject has been brought up several times in the past, but here is some trusted info from an old Handloader write up by CF member/writer John Barsness.

200 gr Barnes Triple-Shock 52.0 gr TAC 2,749 fps 1.15" group
225 gr Sierra GameKing 49.0 gr TAC 2,552 fps 1.47" group
250 gr Hornady RN 48.0 gr TAC 2,404 fps .95" group
250 gr Nosler Partition 48.0 gr TAC 2,423 fps 1.44" group

200 gr Silvertip Winchester factory load 2,442 fps 1.37" group

PLEASE NOTE ! These loads were fired in a bolt action rifle, NOT a Model 1899 ! The primers in all loads listed were Federal 215 "magnum"

Can't remember what issue or year this is from, but I would think that if you do a subject search it will come up.

Good Shooting !

I googled it and found an ol campfire thread. Posted on it so it is now current.

Steelhead said 51 grains on 200 grains pills.

Reformed lake city brass needed less powder.

One poster said it waz da bomb in the ol brush busting 35 R.E.M.!

I will let U know ASAP.

But no one mentioned using a 1899 action as the post that slipped in while I was posting.

So I am gonna work up at 20 % under max.....but I will be using a Marlin 336 ELR action.

I don't think 1899 s were 358 s just 99 s.
