I have been wanting a Smith M19 RB snubbie and landed a consignment piece at a fair price nearby. A M19-4. It appears little fired. Now I need to dig through my boxes of S&W grips to see if I have something proper.

Very cool.
Will the ejector rods clear .357 cases with those?

Very nice!
My 19-4 snub drops cases just fine, with a weak hand slap to the ejector rod, muzzle up.

The ejector rod on the 2.5" 19/66 is not long enough to completely push empty .357 Magnum or .38 Special cases clear of the cylinder if held muzzle down or level. I can only relate that if a combat reload is performed correctly, it is not an issue.

Will the ejector rods clear .357 cases with those? Negative, Ghostrider.

Here's a picture showing the difference in length between the ejector rods on 2.5" and 3" K-frames:

The same shop had an equally nice 4" Colt Cobra, also fairly priced, that was damn tempting. A nice match to my Smith M12-3.

I just picked up a 2 1/2" 19 as well. I was surprised how well it shot. I am in the process of purchasing the leather gear to carry it and some reloads.
