It's 15 here with the wind chill making it below zero. My hay supply is dwindling fast because all the cows are doing are staying at the hay feeders. Funny thing though....it's supposed to be 60 by the first of the week.

Was hoping to touch -40, only got to -29. Don't need the wind though which they say makes it feel like -50.

It's actually pretty nice right now. 8* and calm with clear blue skies. Had a couple of inches of snow yesterday afternoon and the snow is still laying on the branches. However, a front will move through later this morning and give us the real cold stuff with 40 to 50 mph winds for the next day or so. I feel for you guys up North, stay safe. It's supposed to be 50* by Sunday here.

We picked the wrong week evidently to come down to Sarasota. Highs in the 60s this week. At home its in the low 30s chance of snow and the kids are on a delay. Supposed to get cold down to single digits there. I don’t mind 60s but the wife likes sun and the beach. Oh well still better than home.

Had 2 local boys bring their fish in and they stopped by for a beer on their way back to camp. They got 2 gangs set for whitefish up in Humboldt Bay. Each net is 300ft and they fishing 2-net gangs—-got 7 boxes of whitefish.
Their faces were burnt black—they said 2 days ago it was colder but no wind —minus 51 yesterday warmed up to -26 but with the wind it was nasty out.
Glad I’m retired.

It was 22º at 6:00 and dropped to 19º before I was done putting urea on the streets riding my ATV, so yes, it was cold enough.
