I've liked a lot of these guys music and the lead singer (what this thread is about , no?) is heard better "unplugged".

Bruce Dickenson ain't half bad, I'm just not into Maiden.
Phil Anselmo could be a heck of a singer when he wanted to. Hollow and Cemetary Gates come to mind.
Bruce grows on you. Di'anno was good, but is totally washed up (has been for some time). Got my Maiden tix for show this summer. Kid and I went to shows on Book of Souls tour '16 and '17
Amy Lee is pretty darn good (plus I just like her sound). Christina Scabbia is OK, lack the range though (smokin hot). Limited, but also enjoyable to my ears........Liv Kristine. I still like Chibi from The Birthday Massacre.....but I don't think she's solid all the time (live vids she's off now and then). Some of Anneke van Geirsbergen is pleasant.
Hell, I still spin Sarah McLachlan once in a while.
even Kate Bush
Not bad vocalists, but are they "rock" as requested in the OP?
Pop rock? Indie Rock?

Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience
