I've always wondered, why don't they just build the barrier/ smart wall for border security along Interstate 10 from California all the way through Texas? No eminant domain issues, no problems with access, etc ...Im not talking about a land give away to Mexico...Any of the U.S.ranchers/ people/ cities south of the wall would still be on US soil up to the historic border with Mexico...They could get access in and out of the smart wall through ports of entry/ exit in the wall where their is 24/7 security and border patrol, scanners, etc...They would also still be under the protection of our law enforcement and military, national guard, etc. south of the smart wall. We could have facial recognition software at the ports of entry on I10 and actually be able to deport criminals and stop them from coming back to 90 plus percent of the country...

Try jumping that wall or smuggle people or drugs and not be caught at a port of entry or seen by the general public on the Interstate...Obviously, only build it where needed along the Interstate...

They would also have to change the stupid asylum laws about stepping foot on U.S. soil and getting automatic refugee status if they qualify.

It wouldn't succeed anything. It is just a physical barrier along our highway system, you dont have to call it the border. It doesnt change historic boundaries of the 2 countries. If part of the Interstate dips into Mexico (im not sure?) then don't build the wall there...

I guess I don't understand the question? Interstate 10 is wholly in the U.S. in Arizona and New Mexico and California, not sure if it crosses the border in Texas? But, if it does, then don't build there, or build on our side of the Interstate.

Hanging them out to dry? HA! They dont have a wall now....And they would still have the protection of the border patrol and other US law enforcement just like they have now....Im saying build the wall with ports of entry/ exit that are monitored by our law enforcement meaning the border patrol would still be able to patrol south of the wall on U.S. soil just like they currently do...

So you own land and someone wants to put a wall that you cannot go thru to get to the other side. I agree with the wall but put it 5 feet inside the Mexican border and [bleep] the Mexicans

How would it block entry to peoples land? There would be entry/exit points along the wall. Maybe, they would have to go out of there way a little to get to an entry place, but screw it, there isnt that many people living down there in a lot of places...

There's already somewhere around 3,000 +/- miles of tall, mostly masonry construction, sound barrier walls along U.S. highways and Interstates all across the U.S.A., erected and maintained primarily with tax payer dollars, the sole purpose of which is simply to lessen traffic noise in populated areas.

Leave them, put scanners, cameras there. Some of them could become ports of entry/ exit with law enforcement, drug dogs, scanners, cameras, the whole 9 yards... Still better than nothing which is what we have now in a lot of places... Most of those would be near or in the cities. Go around the cities with the wall away from the interstate, or just beef up law enforcement in the cities if you dont want eminent domain issues.

How would it change there lives? Im not advocating give our land to Mexico, or blocking those people's ability to access cities north of the wall...They would still be citizens of our country, at least the ones not in the country illegally...They could come and go freely through secured ports of entry/exit.....How do people access cities now on the border, where there is walls? We can put a man on the moon, but we cant figure this [bleep] out?...

Im saying if you want to put a big dent in the drug smuggling/ human smuggling to the rest of the country, put a smart huge wall along our southernmost interstate in that area, and force the smugglers to have to go to the ports of entry near cities...beef up law enforcement in those cities and at those ports of entry. Also beef up law enforcement south of the smart wall to deter them from even making it to the wall and to protect our citizens... Just makes sense to me because the government already owns the land near the interstate...Less fights over imminent domain and water....Less pissed off Ranchers all over the southwest...90 % of the country feels more secure. Less crime, and less reason for people to come illegally; especially if the government changed the Asylum laws.

The concepts of a "Wall" was necessary to compel certain individuals to vote for DJT. As long as wealthy and influential are allowed to hire illegals to make or save more money the problem will not go away. The wall is not needed.
