Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, Lee Marvin, these guys would fall into both categories fro me.
There were also a ton of supporting actors that really were loaded with talent.

Impossible for me to pick just 3. There have been so many great actors and many have been named.
Lately I have really liked Mel Gibson, Tom Hardy and an all time favorite , Tom Selleck.
But all those previously mentioned have been favorites as well and have reminded me of some I had forgotten.

Been recording and watching the old "Wanted: Dead or Alive" series reruns currently being aired on the Inspiration satellite channel. Steve McQueen was already such an obvious standout talented actor even back then that it is no surprise he wound up as one of the all time acting greats.
