Does anyone know where I can find .270 ammo for a good price. I would like to do some shooting during the off-season but it would be nice if I could find a better price than $12 a box for Remington Core-Lokt. For deer season I use 150gr. Federal Trophy-Bonded Bear Claws, but want something for range shooting. Thanks for the help.

The "cheapest" ammo around, and by the way, some of the best there is, may found on www.centuryarms.com
click on PMP ammo, and scroll down to 270 win, both 130 gr and 150 gr a $6.87 a box. (10 box min purchase) and I think it included UPS.
I have used PMP ammo, and it is very good stuff.
Also look up www.PMP.co.zaClick on NEW Products, and click on Ammo Products.
Interesting story there.

If you want cheep ammo you should put the money out and start to handload. The up front cost is not cheep but the end results is a great savings. I have been handloading all of my abult life and it is a great hobby and great fun.

I feel lucky if I can find Remington Cor-lockts under $19. I remember when I could buy Remington Cor-lockts for my .30-30 for $12.99 and then on sale for $9.99. I think those days are over. I agree start handloading. I need to take my own advice and start reloading when I get home for good.

Don’t forget ammoseek dot com.
Okie John
If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

Gotta stock up right before/during hunting season....Blue Box Feds were $11.72 at Wally IIRC. Then whatever rebates you can find.
Handloading is cheaper.......eventually, if you looking for another hobby.
