What makes/models do you like, or are they all basically the same? Need one for a 700. Probably Possum Hollow or Creedmoor Sports. Or am I just overthinking it?
BTW, I normally just snake a rifle or use a foaming product. On occasion, I'll pull patches from the muzzle with a crown protector. It's worked fine, but now I want to use DBC and plan to scrub the bore with JB Bore Paste. Seems like a bore guide would be helpful for this.
Thanks,
Jason

Possum Hollow w/ removable solvent port. No problem with foams just remove the port and get a straight easy shot.

There are some pretty fancy bore guides out there if you just want to throw money away, like if you were a carpenter and had to buy the best Estwing hammer available and have it gold plated. It's a simple device for a simple job. Possum Hollow bore guides are fine. That's just my opinion, of course. I am probably wrong. LOL.

I am a "other" not a gun writer,.
Sinclair International makes a simple and very good one. just go online and order one for your 700.
I have several. Simple and good.
Be careful with that snake. They sometimes get stuck and you will be buying a new barrel.

4th point,
I've been using a couple of bore guides for so long I can't remember the brands, but believe the "newer" is one of the Midway brands, maybe Caldwell?
They both work fine. A bore guide really isn't a complicated piece of equipment. In fact before I owned dozens of rifles my bore guide were empty cases for each cartridge, drilled through the primer pocket to accept the rod.
