I'm looking for the 20", lightweight barrel model that has been discontinued. I would consider the 22" standard barrel but not the 20" heavy. This will be for a build for the kiddo's, so a barreled action will do also.

There's one for sale by FRONTIER GEAR in the 65grendel.com forum classifieds.
Thanks, Dinny

I looked at the Ruger American Predator for this project and all I liked was the caliber. I like the idea of the smaller action and lighter barrel for the kids. The mini Mauser also would make a nice kid rifle but It never came 6.5 grendel. I could swap out the barrel on the Mauser but that will almost double prodject cost.

I’m thinking of building one too for my wife. I just can’t seem to justify replacing her 6.5x54 Mannlicher Schoenauer with one.
Sure the Mannlicher is wood stocked and the case is longer, but the ballistics of the 130 grain Grendel vs 139 grain MS are about the same for hunting purposes...
?? Thoughts?
