It is very handy and shoots great.

Do you have any close ups of that barrel band? I'm restocking a No.3 right now and that barrel band looks nice. How is it attached?

If I remember right, it is just an Uncle Mike’s magazine tube sling swivel for a Marlin 1895. It pinches together. It is probably not what I would use today with all the nice barrel band swivels available. I can send you a photo if you want one but it is fairly common.

No worries, I know the one you mean. I don’t intend to remove the factory front at this point so a traditional barrel band won’t work.

I have a No. 3 in 30-40 Krag but I'm reluctant to alter it because there weren't a lot made.

Here is my Ruger single shot, it's a number 3 that Leeper built for me, absolutely everything changed from the decelerator pad to the front sight and everything in between!
It's killed more deer than CWD LOL!

That's a great looking rifle. Do you have any pics of it with the lever closed? Is that a weaver rail?

Should have some somewhere.

leeper did not install that rail BTW! LOL!
I'll have to take some, can't find any handy.
