Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces speak for the entire state politically.

Out of those cities, it is as you say.

this seems to be the same pattern and story over and over again.

densely populated centers/cities vote and think one way.

people in less densely populated areas think another.

it really does come down to the voters.

the underlying message is clearcut.

Will this new law massively reduce crime and save lives? where did I put that sarcasm font?

Nothing will change in this house, although here is another law that will be selectively enforced. It won't be long before more states join the movement, and then it won't be enough, since this "common-sense effort for gun safety" will fail.

Meanwhile, record numbers of illegal aliens continue to cross into the USA, and into this state in particular. Our D governor withdrew all but a few of the NM National Guard, calling the border problem a "manufactured crisis", blaming Trump. New Mexico was issuing driver's licenses to illegals for years; our licenses were no longer recognized by the TSA as admissible proof of identification until "Real ID" was mandated. The legislature approved a bill (vote was predictably on party lines) that essentially nullified the Right To Work laws that have been passed by counties, cities and villages across the state. Our D governor (and/or her handlers, donors) didn't seem to care that our employment numbers have been very sluggish compared to other states and our poverty rates parallel the dismal showing in employment. The legislature decided that NM employers should increase the statewide minimum wage. We have massive voter fraud (which is a preview of 2020), the nation's highest or near-highest rate of DWI and alcohol-related deaths and decades of K-12 educational malfeasance. Efforts are being made to nullify the Electoral College by requiring ALL of the state electors to vote for the NATIONAL winner of the popular vote. Meanwhile, the NM legislature has focused on criminalizing the gifting, loaning or sale of firearms without a background check. The D governor warns the NRA to stay away!

They have been unable to pass an ethics bill, however.

Progressive politics and politicians are trying to wear us all down, especially those legal citizens who simply want to be left alone, seeking to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of our prioritized happinesses.

We have to keep our heart in this struggle. Remind your friends that their vote is precious and needed. Every election, every district.

I signed the petition but it won’t change anything.

In our county with an area of 3,446 sq. miles, we have four deputies. There are nine state police officers assigned to us. There are state police officers from Luna County next door that regularly work over here, too, both patrolling I-10 and filling in to collect some of the unlimited overtime that the governor decreed for those assisting the Border Patrol, after she pulled the National Guard. When I drove back into our little village tonight, there were four state police cars parked at the only cafe . They are far better trained than our deputies. It is not unusual to have at least a couple of deputies that have not been state-certified as police officers. When those guys get certified, they almost immediately start applying for better paying jobs elsewhere. Three of our county's assigned state police officers live down here, which is a better situation for us than most of the other rural areas.

I deal with 4 different agency pretty regularly and would agree NMSP are the best trained and most professional.

When liberals swing from ropes, things will change. Until then, buckle up.

Deprivation Of Rights Under Color Of Law
Summary:

Section 242 of Title 18 makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.

For the purpose of Section 242, acts under "color of law" include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within the their lawful authority, but also acts done beyond the bounds of that official's lawful authority, if the acts are done while the official is purporting to or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. Persons acting under color of law within the meaning of this statute include police officers, prisons guards and other law enforcement officials, as well as judges, care providers in public health facilities, and others who are acting as public officials. It is not necessary that the crime be motivated by animus toward the race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin of the victim.

The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term, or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any.

Fugg Santa Fe and that Demotards Socialist C UN T of a Gov. 😡
I do my damnest not to stop there or ABQ when I’m passing through NM. The rest of New Mexican’s are generally good God fearing Conservatives and would be welcome at my Camp 🔥 anytime! It’s a shame the Liberals and F A G S have just about ruined such a beautiful State. I love to go fly fishing for trout there every year! Great hunting for Elk, Antelope & Mulies too.

At what point do you not be angry and worried when they break constitutional law to infringe on the Bill of Rights and disarm you?
