Who runs a 1911 in 9mm?

Personally have never shot one but a 1911 was my first pistol and I like them a bunch. Seems a 9 would be uber soft shooting and a sweet gun in Commander size. Specifically the Springfield EMP 4 with the bobtail. Contour I think they call it. The DW Guardian too.

I keep looking to find a used Ruger Commander.
Cheap shooting.

5" Kimber Custom II here.

It's a cupcake. And since we're already cheating, it has a Cylinder & Slide hammer and sear kit. I really enjoy shooting it--even if it is just a range toy. My buddy, Jimmy (Jimmyd223 here on the 'fire) has a 9mm Nighthawk commander that is pretty sweet too. (MadMooner, if you ever want to come down to Centralia and shoot them, just let me know. We'll get something set up).

As for magazines, my Tripp Research have been flawless, and they come with a base pad. Kimber mags have also functioned 100%. I have two MecGar mags and sent one back, because it don't lock the slide after the last round. MecGar gave me no grief--they paid shipping both ways and swapped out the mag without a fuss. Since then, both MecGars have also run 100%
