On the way to town on Saturday, this was hanging on a guy's fence !!! Been hunting for this boy for almost 60 years :):):) Find out he turns up road kill. What a waste. As best I could, I counted 30 points. What a boy !!

Hey old Friend! Long time no see, he said with a blink and a nod. You know as well as I do that Buck's twin Brother is somewhere in all the Texas "Scrub" behind you You aren't gonna fool me:) I always look for the new threads when I check in....Think about you time I look at one my 99s. My 32-40 is ready to go soon as I get around making a front and rear sight for it. You may recall the Rocky Mountain Front sight I file carved? It was in thread way back in early history here. I could not have fixed that headspace without your email tutorials, nor fixed the lever travel condrum. Thank you for repairing the original and and sending the spare, which I probably ought return so you can loan it to someone needs it more than I do. I have a good friend who handloads for a 32-40 Creedmoor He's quite good with it. He's offered to load the cast bullets you sent, and tailor them to your own recommended favorite load. Anyway, I learned how to a fairly good gunsmith about three days after we met here. Thank you!

Flintnocker ..... happy the welded lever fit your rifle so well. Eliminating a headspace problem in PA without ever seeing the rifle is kinda hard to do when you live in Texas :):):) So glad it worked for you. Since you were the only one that showed any interest in that old deer rack, here's another for you. My hat measures 15".

Fer that matter, Great Hat with the rack!:) I have many many hats. More than a couple have arrived here courtesy of the fine man and fine family what started this thread. We've been Family since we first 'met' here, many Springs ago. Matter of fact we've got our Anniversary coming up here next month. I can't recall just now how many years..But I'm pretty sure his Sweet Lady will set the record straight, right here, real soon:) ed

And to think my boy and I were hunting within 10 miles of him, makes me a little hopeful that his twin brother is running around somewhere out there.

Brian, good to hear from you!!! We're UP in the new place on the footprint of the olde:) Door is still wide open for you any time you are in the area. I'm figuring out how to get down there to Tejas soon. The old gunsmith tells me he's got a serious wild hog problem:) And I am kinda fond of hog done up right:) Might take a favorite primitive bow I made, backed with rattler skins John sent me. Probably take my longrifle along also. He has a couple rifles there I might be offered the chance to try shootin' as well. I'd have gotten to you sooner than later, got an awful lot of catching up to do on the three websites I really enjoy being part of. Made countless friends on all three. You be one! ed

watch for the crows..they know stuff we don't. and the one in my avatar is a Raven (round tail) those birds have wisdom. They all know me in the spots I favor in the wilderness. I ask them to check on my good friends. And off they go..in your direction;)
