Now that Bushnell has took a turn for the worse and no more Bushnell Elites? Is Weaver Grand Slam scopes just as good since they are Japan made? Is the glass good, bright? Are the clicks solid, internals solid? Are they tough made scopes? Don't see much on here about Grand Slams and I've never owned a Weaver scope ever. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

My results with a couple of Weaver Grand Slam “Tactical” 3-10s has been pretty spectacular dialing out to 800ish and back.

I bought a weaver super slam a while back, I though the scope was made by people who never used scopes quite honestly. funky reticle, turrets easily spun by accident. I think they make one of the best 22 rimfire scopes though. the RV9 is excellent on a 22 rimfire. japanese built too.

The Weaver Grand Slam and Classic scopes are now and have been since reintroduction in the late 80's high quality Made in Japan optics. Some of the best at their respective price points. And yes, the adjustments are solid and repeatable.

For a hunting scope I really like the glass, but not the eye relief. They have the same failing as the Bushnell Elite scopes.

Yeah I'm not a "tacti-cool - everybody thinks they are a sniper type guy"...I buy nothing but walnut and blued barrel rifles and those type of scopes just don't go with rifles like that in my opinion but it seems like that's what all scope manufacturers are going for these days...

Don’t feel bad...I’m not either. Nothing is sadder than watching an old fat guy try to act like an “operator”.

Or the millennials for that matter

Lol...Yea you and me would get along good. I took a guy ground hog hunting today and he was dialing his scope for a ground hog at 253 yards lol... Right then I was thinking to myself, "get real mother fuqer lol"...The hog got back in the hole before he got the shot off. The ground hog came back out 10 minutes later and he shot and missed it. 30 minutes later I nailed one at 301, no dialing of course lol... Don't need to...

Have a 6-20 that was on a semi-safe queen rifle and got VERY little use. Got it out one.day to shoot a groundhog.and.the reticle had FALLEN OUT !!!! It was laying in the bottom of the tube !!!!! Weaver replaced.it, without question. But the new reticle appears to have been sliced with a razor blade.

I have been failed 4 times by high end Weaver products.in the last 6-8 years. I'm done with their junk.

I've got a 3-10x40 that's nearly 25 years old,and looks like it was run over by a truck.Still as clear and accurate as when first taken out of the box...
