None of the following has anything to do with how you stand when you hold a gun. Disregard as needed.
The weird part to me about all of these articles (I've read quite a few very similar to that one) are that they put so much weight in the opinion of Cooper and reference the competitions they started. But they never get around to mentioning the gunfighters and competitive shooters of today, which universally disregard what the previous generation taught. And I'd suspect that's because the modern day equivalent of Cooper and Weaver are objectively light years better in their shooting.
I just don't get it. It's not intellectually honest to reference the people from a half century ago but not the people who disagree from today, who are objectively better at doing the same thing.
your flippant remarks which you so adeptly sling

Yes. I think I’ll ask the Wright brothers about flying and F35... totally makes sense.
In Cooper’s day an El Pres under 10 seconds was GREAT! An El Pres today over 4 seconds isn’t worth mentioning.

Best line in the article: The best stance is the one that works for you—your body, your accumulated injuries or limitations, and your gun.

Took a couple of acquaintances to the range a few weeks ago to practice for upcoming qualification and one of them had about everything "wrong" with her stance you could have, but she was tearing the middle out of the chest and head on the Georgia LEO target so I just mentioned it in passing to her.
It's about sight alignment and trigger break, everything else is fodder to chew on the Campfire!!

'goats,
Get your head out of your ass. Me? What caused that?
