Looking to surprise my brother on his wedding day. The rifle is going to be used mainly as a deer rifle. Was looking for caliber suited for longer ranges. looking to spend give or take around 500 or a little more depending on what is offered.
Nothing against the 30-06 or 270 but was wanting to get him something a little different. No certain caliber in mind. Just wanted to see what was out there.

I might have a Model 7 300 SAUM I’d consider letting go. Has scope and bout 3 boxes of ammo. Gonna be higher than ur projected budget though. You can pm me if interested.

I have a New Haven Winchester Model 70 .308 carbine I was considering selling. It has iron sights and currently wears a Leupold VX II 3-9 scope in their QRW rings and bases. The rifle with bases but no scope would probably fit your budget. Please PM if interested.

Got a ss savage fluted light varmint with on/off brake in a pepper laminate Boyd's thumbhole stock in 300wm that I could get close to 500. It has a one piece steel base and a 3-9×50 baush and lomb elite 3000 on it also but that would be a little extra.
