I lose track since I've retired. It kinda feels like Friday, however.
I don't always get in these Friday music threads. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for music. But I've been listening to some today,.....as I do every now and then.
I've posted it before,...but it's good to listen to Merle's kids. They did a good job on this one.
Powerful DNA,.....
Merle made kids with 2 wives,...seems like they all can make music.
They're not Merle. To be Merle you had to live in a boxcar and go to prison. There won't be another Merle.
But his son "Noel" does about the best cover of "The Running Kind" that can be done.
I listen to it quite often.
It's here,.....Merle's kids:

I remember as a kid coming home after school, grabbing a sandwich and watching MTV before my paper route. They played that video a fair bit and I went out and got that CD; still have it. I suspect a lot of metal heads like me got drug back to blues through his music.
Love his guitar style.

We saw Robert Cray, open for Bonnie Rait at the Hollywood Bowl in '94 or '95.
