My dad makes some great pies using his grandma’s recipes. I’ll take his pumpkin followed closely by blueberry.
I make about as good a coconut cream as there is according to relatives at Christmas, but I never did get into like some of them.

Mom makes a huckleberry Apple pie. Best pie ever. Apple is great, huckleberry is a bit overwhelming, huckleberry apple dilutes the huckleberry flavor down to where the perfumey delicate flavors are brought out in bold relief from the apples.
I’m getting all tearful just thinking about it.
