I have zero knowledge of meopta Scopes. This area of Canada you don't see them. I have a potential to acquire one at a good price. My question is how do they compare to Leupold? I currently have a leupold vx3L on my rifle and want to know if the meopta would be an upgrade?

The Meostar R2 is definitely an upgrade from your VX3L. Much better glass and low light capability.

Meostar R2 is Alpha glass for sure. I upgraded my old XIII to a VX6 HD.

As the others have said, the R2 is a step up from the VX-3L line. The most notable difference between the two will be the Meopta's enhanced ability to resolve fine detail under harsh lighting conditions.

Out of curiosity, to see how threads are followed, if you call to order and mention this thread, we will do the following Meopta Meostar R2 specials for you:

1.7-10x42 RD in your choice of 4K, BDC-2 or BDC-3 for only $999.99

2-12x50 RD in your choice of BDC-2 or BDC-3 only $999.99

2.5-15x56 RD in your choice of BDC-2 or BDC-3 only $1,099.99

I'll honor these crazy low prices through this weekend, call in only 516-217-1000, when you mention this post

TAG!

One of the 1.7-10x42 RD would be a good fit for the 16", 6.5 Grendel upper I am building. Will order one when my shooting fund recovers from recent purchases.

Not sure what the conversion is, however, if it comes to $999.99 US $, or more, then sure as long as we are shipping it within the USA as we cannot export riflescopes

gr8fuldoug (Doug), being in Canada you can't ship a scope to me. I did however find one for sale so i picked it up.. It's a R2 meostar 2.5-15x56. It was a bout $600 canadian. So that would be $446.89 U.S.
It is gently used but im floored at how good the glass is compared to other scopes I've bought in the past. An added bonus is that it came on top of a CZ 557 Ebony Exclusive in 6.5x55 swede

Agreed. For some reason these Scopes are not well know in this part of Canada. Now to find out where I can get another in the great white north.
