Work asked for my mobile number that they may contact me, I told that was pointless as I do not answer any calls that are not from either my wife or our daughter. They have not asked again. When I was in the AF as a Flight Chief my LT asked me why they could never get a hold of me on my day off. (Like I was going to hang by the phone waiting in great anticipation for him to call.) I mentioned I have things to do, but always call him back. I said if he wants to issue me a cell phone I will carry it where ever I go. Of course there was no cell service in the mtns then. He never mentioned it again.
