Does Micro Slick really work. Is it worth considering for the bolt on a Cera Kote job?

Honestly, no! I was a certified applicator and saw difference in my bolt guns and ARs.
MAGA! This is the way!

Microslick was designed for the skirts of pistons. It has an ability to hold lubricants (as does jewelling or engine turning) and is best used with that in mind. I've not found it a replacement for a good dry film lubricant, probably because it wasn't designed to be one.
There is a great deal of marketing going on behind the Cerakote brand, creating myth and legend about a good paint system which goes on thin, holds to the substrate well and is fairly resistant to common scratching and impact.
FWIW most of my rifles are Cerakoted, most of the bolts are microslicked. It is a good paint system.

I have three Cerakoted rifles. I have hunted them hard and they hold up. No rust or corrosion. Also my SIL had a fire that affected his gun safe. Only one Cerakoted gun and it came out with just needing a wipe down. The FFs hit the safe with a fog nozzle and the Steam and byproducts got in. Heat stayed at an acceptable level. All guns survived but needed extensive dismantel, and cleaning except the Cerakoted rifle and one in a Sack up. Anything blued was flash rusted badly inside and out.
I have never used the Micro Slick and that is the question. Black T worked perfect on bolts wondered if this would be similiar...

I’ve used Micro Slick on a few of mine. Works as advertised but I still very lightly oil the bolt. May not need it but i cannot Leave it alone.
It definitely doesn’t hurt anything and it is way slicker than applying Cerakote to moving parts.

If used with standard lubrication it should be fine, might also reduce galling on a Titanium action, but same deal still use conventional lubrication.
