Happy Birthday Tom !
Joe's was 28" & Doug's was 29.5" - so many 23-25" we were getting blase with the camera.
Doug is sending me better pics of his fish, when he gets up, to got to work.
Sunday was a tiny little pot hole lake, quad access + small boat only, that we discovered bird hunting one fall.
We will only fish it twice a year. Fathers day appeared about right !
Secret lake 843, to protect it.
We only take 16-18" fish out.
Paul.

WOWSERS! those are some dandies! from the size of the lake in the background I would say you can take a few more fish than what you are allowing yourself. keeping it secret is key to longevity! nicely done!

I just caught up on this thread by reading from page 3503 forward. Lotsa goings on with cabin repairs, fishing some fine looking diners fixings and a shot of Woodford Reserve. Just reading about all the you guys do wears me out. Summer is here in South Carolina and it's getting hot. Take care everyone.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

July 1 and corn is NOT lookin' good here. Most fields, if they're planted, are about 4" tall. Knee high by the Fourth is out of the question at this point.
That floor is looking good 99! My floor is aluminum with Herculiner on it. It's a duck hunting boat and that black floor gets hot on the tootsies when fishing in the summer. Saw some rubber mats in your other boat that I might try if I can find them. You guys have more pics of walleyes on the last couple pages than I've caught in the past 5 years. I need to try to remedy that.
Been doing well on salmon in the Big lake. Get more than a few each trip with some limits mixed in. Water is WAAAAAY up. Highest I've seen it in 35 years or so. Great Lakes connecting waters where you can launch, many of the docks and ramps are under water. Obstacles that were high and dry are now navigational hazards. 5 years ago, they were complaining that the Corp was draining the upper Great Lakes by taking away the rip-rap in the St. Clair river - like pulling the plug in the bathtub. Same people are wondering where their water frontage disappeared to now. And so it goes...

I catch more schit about them damn socks... lmao.
I'll have you know we'll be fishing from Wednesday on and there won't be a sock in the boat.
Can't remember if I said why i'm not wearing shoes or not... My buddy who owns the boat wanted me to wash my shoes off before I got in. So, I dipped my foot off the dock when he swung around to pick me up. But, I dipped it up to my ankle. lol.
We made it about 100' after I took my shoe off before I caught that fish. So, I didn't get to take my socks off.

Some day I want to say to my wife, "We were catching fish so fast, I couldn't keep my shoes on!" As it is, it seems Mrs CF likes fresh perch and walleye. I am unable to fulfill her request on a consistent basis to the point that she's fish shaming me. Is that legal? Can I complain to some higher authority? Like the Society of the Perpetually Offended?
